Svitlana Zhytnia, artistic name Zhi Zhi, is a new media artist from Ukraine who specializes in digital visual art. In 2022, due to the war in Ukraine, she relocated to Graz, Austria. Zhi Zih collaborates with sound artists to create live audio-visual performances and interactive visuals for theater performances and installations. In 2022, in collaboration with Nick Acorne, a Graz-based composer, she started a duo project named Zhi Zhi Ni Ni. They experiment with technology and new media to create music and live visuals on stage. In 2024, they performed live on ORF Musikprotokoll as part of the Steirischer Herbst ’24 program. With Genevese musician Joëlle Kehrli Zhi Zhi created AV compositions that were played live at the Mapping Festival in Geneva in 2022 and 2023. In 2024, she worked with Portuguese performer Andrea Conangla to create visuals for Helmut Lachenman's contemporary academic piece Got Lost. The work was presented in Lisbon and Stuttgart.
