Project Info

As an emerging artist from Kosovo, Blerina is embarking on a two-month internship with AKT, an architecture collective based in Vienna. Blerina's project during the residency will focus on the concept of spatial intimacy, and the interplay between architecture, movement, and perception. Through a combination of visual art and spatial interventions, Blerina aims to create immersive experiences that invite viewers to reconsider their perceptions of space and their relationship to their surroundings. These interventions within urban areas create public spaces for collective practices, relaxation, and community events while raising awareness among citizens about the significance of the transformative power of architecture in shaping social interactions and fostering a sense of belonging within the community. While the primary focus will be honing her skills and gaining invaluable experience at Architekturkollektiv, Blerina also intends to explore and engage with the local artistic community, exchange ideas, forge meaningful connections, and foster cultural exchange within Vienna's vibrant artistic community.
