The sand trickles, it crashes and rattles - the story of The Little Prince begins with the emergency landing of a pilot in the Sahara. But what happens next? We embark on a musical journey from planet to planet and playfully immerse ourselves in the sounds of the family opera "The Little Prince". As part of the KinderKulturParcours 2024.

How far can art go? How far does it have to go? Performance artist Pippa Bacca set out in a wedding gown to hitchhike from Milan to Jerusalem in 2008 in order to take a stand for peace and trust among people. Along the way, she was raped and murdered. The first part of "The Bride and Goodnight Cinderella" focusses on Bacca and other female artists who have used their own bodies as a means of protest and a target.

In Milo Rau’s first opera treatment, Emperor Tito’s well-wishing commitment degenerates into a strategy of sheer self-preservation, an empty revolutionary platitude. Together with eighteen people who live in Vienna and have partly themselves experienced repressive regimes, the Camerata Salzburg and the Arnold Schoenberg Choir, Rau undertakes an actualisation of Mozart’s last opera.

The "Box of Truth" is a glass container in the courtyard of Vienna’s MuseumsQuartier. It contains two chairs and a lie detector. Every "Vienna Trial" weekend will start with two public figures being attached to the lie detector and subjected to a public hearing by actor Bibiana Beglau.
