Every Monday, Martin Markeli’s Monday Listening Club offers visitors a unique combination of a vinyl listening experience, a vintage flea market, and live DJ sets from 18:00 to 22:00 on the MQ Summer Stage. Patrick Pulsinger (born 1970 in Weißenfels, GDR) has been producing and composing music for more than twenty years and has made a name for himself in many fields through numerous international releases and live performances.

His first solo releases in the early and mid-1990s grew out of the basic concept of techno, which was based on computers and analog synthesizers.

In 1993, Pulsinger co-founded the label Cheap Records as a platform for experimentation with his own productions and those of like-minded artists. More recently, he has been working as a producer at his own recording studio in Vienna, among other things. In Austria, he has collaborated with many artists, including Gerard, Bauchklang, Elektro Guzzi, Mile Me Deaf, Maja Osojnic, and BulBul; internationally, he has worked with Hercules and Love Affair, DJ Hell, David Holmes, the Anti-Pop Consortium, Grace Jones, and the Pet Shop Boys, among others. His intensive exploration of analog recording techniques, improvisation, and the exchange of musical ideas has led to collaborations with musicians such as Franz Hautzinger, Rozemarie Heggen, Hilary Jeffrey, Wolfgang Mitterer, Christian Fennesz, Hans Joachim Rödelius, Pamelia Kurstin, and Modeselektor. Pulsinger has performed at numerous international music festivals; in 2010, he curated a special program section at Wien Modern, and in 2013, he served as curator of the Vienna Popfest. He has also received commissions to compose works for the Vienna Radio Symphony Orchestra, which premiered at the Wien Modern festival and at the Musikprotokoll as part of the Steirischer Herbst festival. His body of work also includes film scores—including one for Stefan Ruzowitzky’s new feature film—as well as music for theater and ballet.
