Classic at its best at the MuseumsQuartier Wien! "Classic Close-Up" of the European Union Youth Orchestra (EUYO), presented by Campus Grafenegg. The official youth orchestra of the European Union spends its summer residence in Grafenegg every year and has been the orchestra in residence since 2018.
From 16:30h to 17:30h, the young musicians from 28 European countries perform in chamber music pop-ups at Leopold Museum, mumok and Kunsthalle Wien. The aim of these musical interventions is to make classical music experienceable in unfamiliar places.
The big close-up concert in the MQ main courtyard, which starts at 19:00h, Tchaikovsky's Fifth Symphony is on the program, conducted by star conductor Gianandrea Noseda. Admission to the concert in the MQ main courtyard is free, the concerts in the museums can be visited with a valid ticket.
