Everybody is talking about the "mixed" town or city and everybody wants one. But what does this mean in detail? What constructional, but also legal and economic approaches and solutions are needed to meet the challenges of the hybrid city.
The focus of the event is on new prototypes for buildings of unspecified usage, buildings whose multifunctionality is decisive for the success of urban life and its diversity of functions. The projects presented on this evening provide, under one and the same roof, space for the most varied of lifestyles and forms of working and commerce or leisure pursuits, and with their structural openness they are building blocks for a lively urban quarter — today and in the future. The presentations and dialogues are followed by a discussion moderated by Angelika Fitz, director Az W.
