Dance of Urgency Expanded

Dance of Urgency Expanded

Event program on July 19 & 20 as part of the exhibition curated by Bogomir Doringer at frei_raum Q21 exhibition space

Event program as part of the exhibition curated by Bogomir Doringer at frei_raum Q21 exhibition space

The exhibition aims to find a definition of 'Dance of Urgency' that is based on those emotions arising out of personal and collective crises. Such a dance empowers individuals and collectives. With the help of interdisciplinary participants, it extracts knowledge from dance culture with a uniting and strengthening quality, and because it can also perform as a political body when necessary.

As part of the exhibition and in cooperation with ImPulsTanz - Vienna International Dance Festival performances by Artist-in-Residence Frédéric Gies and film screenings as part of the frame[o]ut Open Air Cinema will be presented. On Friday, July 19 Red Light Radio will broadcast live from the MQ. On Saturday, July 20 Turntablista / Masha Dabelka will lead a DJ workshop for women* in the exhibition space.

The exhibition is open until 10 PM on July 19 and 20, admission is free.
