Chamber music ensembles of young musicians perform unannounced impromptu concerts at various locations in Vienna, including the MuseumsQuartier, the Burggarten, Türkenschanzpark, the Papstwiese meadow at Donaupark, Kurpark Oberlaa, and the Volkspark. The idea is to provide public access to Mozart for every generation. Young musicians will attempt to make the Mozart experience appealing to as many people as possible by keeping the performance atmosphere relaxed and low key.
The ensembles consist of three to five artists playing winds, strings, or a combination of the two. Young professional musicians from the Vienna area will be selected for the performances.
The programs will focus on chamber music by Mozart and his contemporaries and will include trios, quartets, and quintets by Mozart, L. Boccherini, J.-B.Vanhal, M. and J. Haydn, C. Stamitz, et al.
