Das Leopold Museum präsentiert vom 17. März bis 19. Juni 2006 an die 122 Werke des Tiroler Malers
Alfons Walde. Waldes Oeuvre als Einzelerscheinung in der österreichischen Malerei, aber auch im Kontext zu seinen Wiener- und Tiroler Malerkollegen, wird in dieser Schau beleuchtet.

Zu sehen sein wird selbstverständlich der "klassische Walde" mit seinen bekannten Schnee- und Schifahrermotiven, aber auch weniger bekannte Bilder aus seinem Frühwerk.

Einige hochinteressante Exponate aus österreichischen Privatsammlungen waren seit Jahrzehnten nicht mehr öffentlich ausgestellt. Als Kurator für die Ausstellung konnte der Innsbrucker Waldespezialist Dr. Gert Ammann gewonnen werden.

Öffnungszeiten: tägl. 10-18h, Dienstag geschlossen, Donnerstag bis 21h
