Jacqueline (Athens, 1989) is a writer/director whose work revolves around unconventional family constructs, coming-of-age, intimacy and the dream. Her filmic language involves finding poetry in seemingly mundane premises.

Her graduation project, Thirteen Blue, screens in several international film festivals and wins, among others, Best International Short in Athens Film&Video FF getting shortlisted for the Oscar nomination, as well as the Golden Egg Award in Reykjavik IFF.

Her semi-feature’s, FOX, script was selected in Berlinale Short Film Station. The film world premieres in Locarno (2016) winning Best International Short from Cinema&Gioventu Jury. Until now, FOX wins over 20 awards world wide including Best Short from PanHellenic Critics’ Association, Best European Short in Film Du Femme Creteil, and the upmost prestigious Award in the Memory of Ingmar Bergman.

HIWA (2017) world premieres in Berlinale and gets listed as one of the best shorts of the year in anOthermag.com, as well as in Cineuropa’s Official Website.

In 2017 she is invited by Vienna Shorts as an Artist in Spotlight where a retrospective of her full body of work is held. The same year, she is invited to represent Greece in the special edition of Locarno Filmmakers’ Academy. Additionally, she is selected to participate in Toronto Talent Lab 2017.

In the networking event of Torino Film Lab, SELINI66, wins the one award issued by the CNC to one of the 23 Script&Pitch participants. Following, she is selected to participate in POP-UP film residency, an initiative of Torino Film Lab’s creative director Matthieu Darras.

Last, with the money collected from FOX’s awards, Jacqueline shoots a new short in the first week of 2018, HECTOR MALOT: THE LAST DAY OF THE YEAR. The film will premier in Cannes, as the only Greek film in competition in the prestigious Semaine de la Critique, upcoming May.
