The MQ Summer of Fashion is starting its opening weekend from June 14 to 16 with an extensive program. In addition to the fashion exhibitions “Reflecting Fashion: Art and Fashion Since Modernism” (mumok) and “TECHNOSENSUAL: where fashion meets technology” (freiraum quartier21 INTERNATIONAL), events include a fashion show in the Main MQ Courtyard featuring works by graduating students from the Herbststrasse college of fashion, design, and textiles, a photo booth party, and a performance of Benoît Maubrey’s “Audio Ballerinas.”
The exhibition "TECHNOSENSUAL: where fashion meets technology" presents electronic textiles and wearable technologies created by international haute tech couture designers. The exhibition will open on June 14 at 20:00 at freiraum quartier21 INTERNATIONAL with a performance by Bart Hess to kick off the "MQ Summer of Fashion". A preview will be presented at 11:00 in a press tour.

A major premiere is happening at the MuseumsQuartier Wien this June. For the first time, the resident cultural institutions will be joining forces to focus on a common theme: the MQ Summer of Fashion. The result of the collaboration is a richly varied, three-month program with shows, exhibitions, workshops, performances, discussions, presentations, and guided tours exploring fashion and art.
